Metal Detector Long Range
Long-range metal detectors (often marketed as LRLs or “long range locators”) are devices that claim to detect metal objects far away — sometimes hundreds of meters away from the user, or deep underground — by using antennas and special frequency systems instead of the usual small coil metal detectors.
They are typically advertised for:
Finding gold, silver, treasure caches, or large metallic objects at a distance
Searching large areas without walking every inch
Indicating the direction of a target rather than pinpointing it right under a coil
